Current Challenges in Textile Production & Supply Chain

Jignesh Gabani

In the present global scenario, the ongoing geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel are creating a ripple effect across multiple industries, including the textile sector in India.

Due to disruptions in international supply chains, the availability of essential raw materials has reduced significantly. This has directly impacted production efficiency, causing many textile units to operate at a slower pace than usual. Delays in sourcing yarn, chemicals, and other inputs are leading to extended production timelines.

At the same time, the industry is facing an additional challenge related to cylinder (gas) supply. Many workers are experiencing difficulty in accessing cooking gas, which is affecting their daily lives. This situation has not only increased their cost of living but also impacted their ability to sustain regular work routines.

Furthermore, as a large portion of the textile workforce consists of labourers from other states, these ongoing difficulties—combined with reduced work availability—are leading to reverse migration. Many workers are choosing to return to their hometowns due to lower income opportunities and basic living challenges.

We want to keep our customers informed that these factors are temporarily affecting production speed and overall supply. However, we remain committed to maintaining product quality and fulfilling orders as efficiently as possible.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support during this challenging period, as we navigate these circumstances with responsibility and transparency.
